SDT270 是一台為預防性維護（PDM）而設計的可擕式超聲波檢測儀。系統同時具有紅外測溫功能和鐳射轉速測量，以獲取溫度和轉速資料。 SDT270 也是第一個包含一個SQL 資料庫的可擕式超音波檢測儀，這項功能允許同時收集多類型的檢測資料，包括：不同探頭的超音波強度、記錄的超音波音訊、溫度及轉速等資料，創建成資料庫，以便分析。
SDT270 是第一個以True Amplitude(全真振幅) 記錄的超音波檢測儀器，這項技術令超音波首次能夠以精確的音效檔保存在資料庫中，方便日後對超音波檔進行比較和趨勢分析。SDT270 每秒可捕獲多達25 萬個的超音波信號樣本。檢測結果是非常明確、精準且可比較的時間信號，這些信號存儲在系統龐大的內部記憶體中，以方便使用Ultranalysis Suite Software（UAS）軟體進行資料管理，音訊分析及生成報告。
